Park Hyatt Aviara welcomes you to join them for Masters of Food & Wine, a series of seasonal, locally inspired culinary events.
Our quarterly series of locally inspired Masters of Food & Wine events begins with a celebration of Baja California on Friday, March 7, 2014 at Vivace. Acclaimed Baja Chef Javier Plascencia will be joining us with the debut of Vivace’s new Chef, Jason Seibert, to share dishes revitalizing Tijuana and bringing Baja to the forefront of international cuisine. Plascencia’s Tijuana restaurant, Mision 19, has been lauded by The New York Times, and Seibert's nationally renowned experience marks the beginning of a pivotal chapter for Vivace.
We warmly welcome you to explore their common culinary philosophies, where local, sustainably sourced ingredients serve as the prime inspiration for simple, artistic dishes. Each course will be prepared with the harvest of Southern Californian farms and paired with Baja wines from vineyards in Valle de Guadalupe. Artistic installations from a local Tijuana artist will also be showcased.
Reception: 7 PM
Discover the rising generation of viticulture in Valle de Guadalupe with winemakers from Vena Cava and Villa Montefiori wineries. Mezcal cocktails will be served, along with tray-passed hors d’oeuvres.
Dinner: 8 PM
A five-course meal will be prepared exclusively from Chef Javier Plascencia and Chef Jason Seibert. Pairings of Baja wines will accompany dinner amongst the acoustic sounds of a Spanish jazz guitarist.
$125 per person, inclusive of tax and gratuity.
