Semper Fi Donation
Park Hyatt Aviara Resort Hosts Fundraising Events, Raising $2,000 to Benefit San Diego's Semper Fi Fund
Over 175 Hyatt employees, representing 100 hotels in North America, raised $2,000 during Hyatt Hotels Corporation’s annual sales and advisory conferences, which were held at Park Hyatt Aviara Resort in April and May. The conferences furthered Hyatt’s global sales philosophy, “One Team, One Dream,” and also supported Hyatt’s global corporate responsibility platform, Thrive, which is designed to support communities as places where Hyatt associates are proud to work, Hyatt guests want to visit and Hyatt neighbors want to live. During both conferences, the attendees participated in multiple-team building activities, one of which included a scavenger hunt throughout the resort. The winning team was awarded a cash prize to benefit the local Semper Fi Fund.
“At Hyatt, we strive to make a difference in the lives of those we touch every day. It was very important to the attendees of these two conferences, to find a way to give back to the community. Each team worked very hard and with great enthusiasm to win the ‘prize’ money, 100% of which was donated to Semper Fi fund,” said Mark Stiebeling, General Manager, Park Hyatt Aviara Resort.
“On behalf of the Semper Fi Fund, we would like to thank Park Hyatt Aviara, a valued and generous supporter of our organization and San Diego chapter,” said Laura Castellvi, Senior Manager of Community Outreach and Events for the Semper Fi Fund.
